I started a bit of a thing for Max Richter a while ago. Then gave up. Last autumn I came back to him. Big time. Oh, big, big time. I’m talking Shawna Lemay big time. Every day. Every. Day.
Below are three of my current faves. With a special shout out of thanks to my friend Hermione for sending me the link to the first clip, which is a beautiful mash up with the voice of Dinah Washington, from whom this post takes its title.
I hope and pray and dance that you and your loved ones are all safe. With much love, Anthony

Thanks so much Anthony. The Bitter Earth sequence is a revelation – painfully beautiful
Hi Charlie. So good to hear from you. Hoping you are all well and safe. So pleased you enjoyed that video as well. It completely blew me away too. Trusting I will see you on the other side, Anthony
Thank you for sharing these beautiful pieces. Christopher Wheeldon certainly gave his dancers the best choreography to bring forth such beauty and skill and then there’s the music, the singer and the words of the song … astonishing combination.
