Go well

I have walked into the grief.

I have walked into brave space, mine and others’.

I have sat in silence, listened again and again to Max Richter, and fallen asleep to music on the sofa more times than I can remember.

I have said goodbye.

I have marvelled at the courage we all display each day just to show up and face what needs facing in the minutiae of each moment.

I have tried to stay present.

I have had some great meals.

I have walked into the grief.

And now I am tired.

So I am going to have some time away from blogging for a while, the better to face whatever the autumn brings.

Some old posts from my archive will still appear here each week, for those of you who might still be around over the summer.

In the meantime, I say go well, go well and go well, and look forward to seeing you in the autumn.
